Civilization, Legality, Advertising: these are the three universal principles that form the basis of the civilization of modern Europe. This basis of civilization is the catalyst offered by historic Europe to create a political Europe. Starting from these three points, the essay aims to face Europe’s cultural and spiritual heritage not as a limit of identity but as a resource of values brought to the status of cohesion or reunion. This would in turn transform historic memory from a self-centered memory to a responsibility to the recreation of the Union, in which the widening towards the other is inseparable from a deep analysis of its own past.
