Cooperation is a social practice, embedded in the propensity to sharing. The same term however identifies a well-defined socio-economic model, it has produced in the past centuries a series of alternative forms of enterprise, very different from both capitalist and public ones. The role of reciprocity and the primacy of relationships in these is critical. The contribution focuses on an original model of “rationality” which is the basis of these organizational models. Using the analytical tools of the “game theory”, the author proposes a thorough discussion of this model.
